Those who haven't been by Swifty Gas lately, don't bother. Their doors are boarded up and their sign taken down. The long time gas station on Memorial, just down from Jones Car Wash, shut down last week. Workers there closing up the building say the competition from nearby gas stations hurt business, eventually leading to the doors being closed.
