A taxi cab driver from Nashville has filed an aggravated robbery report in Murfreesboro.

The driver for Nashville Allied Taxi told police that he was hit in the face with a bottle and then robbed after taking a young female from Davidson County to Murfreesboro. Prior to being picked up for the ride, the woman told the taxi company over the phone that her name was Devon Collins.

The woman was picked up at a Nashville address and driven to South Bilbro Street in Murfreesboro where two men were picked up, as instructed by the female. From there, the cabbie drove the three to a business on Northfield Boulevard.

When it came time to pay for the ride, the two men acted as if they had NO money for the fare. One male even called his mother who actually walked to the address and paid the cab driver $100. After the mother paid for the cab, the men allegedly hit the driver in the face with a bottle and stole all of his cab fares for the evening. The culprits then took off on foot.

The case is under investigation at this time. It is not known if the mother was still present when the robbery took place.
