TCAP Test Scores Will Account for Portion of Semester Grades

The Rutherford County Schools are reminding parents that the upcoming TCAP test will count towards student semester grades. This is being done due to a new law which took effect at the beginning of this year dealing with TCAP testing. For grades 3rd through 5th, the TCAP test score will count for 20-percent of a pupils semester grades.  For middle school and high school students, TCAP tests — both achievement and End of Course exams — will count for 25% of their second semester grades.
