An investigation into a missing Rutherford County high school student showed he apparently planned to run away and packed his clothes.
Devin Bond, 16, of Armor Place, disappeared March 31. Detective Will Pinson, who is investigating, tells NewsRadio WGNS a close friend said Devin expressed an interest in running away before and living as a homeless person. He packed a bag prior to leaving and stuffed pillows and blankets in his bed to show he was still there.
Devin's mother told Pinson her son took a black Nike drawstring backpack, a red and gray North Face pullover jacket, a gray and white Nike hooded sweatshirt and a khaki pants.
"There is nothing to suggest foul play was involved," Pinson said. "We still want to locate Devin."
Community volunteers searched several days around Barfield Crescent Park in an effort to locate Devin.
Since then, Pinson and other detectives interviewed Devin's parents. His mother was sleeping and his father was at work when Devin left the house.
Detectives interviewed Devin's close friends, students he attended school with at Riverdale High School and the homeless community in Murfreesboro.
"We've responded to dozens of tips," Pinson said. "We still want to locate Devin."
People who have any sightings of the teen are asked to call the Sheriff's Office immediately at 615-898-7770.

Previous Release:
The parents of 17-year-old Devin Ray Bond and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office are asking your help to locate the boy who's not been seen since he went to bed late Thursday night.
Friday morning about 10, Devin's 9-year-old brother reported the teen had put towels and pillows under a blanket to make it appear he was still asleep in their Armor Place home, mother Heather Simmers says.
Many of Devin's friends are out of town on spring break, and ones the family has contacted had no idea of his whereabouts, Simmers said.
Detective Randy Groce is leading the investigation and reports the boy may have been in the vicinity of Barfield Park on Veteran's Parkway Saturday. K-9 units have been in use there.
Anyone with information about or who sees Devin Ray Bond is asked to call RCSO at 615-898-7770 or Groce at 615-904-3049.
