Tennessee's Unemployment Rate for June 4.1%

Tennessee Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips announced the Tennessee preliminary unemployment rate for June was 4.1 percent, unchanged from the May revised rate of 4.1 percent. The U.S. preliminary rate for June was 4.9 percent, up two-tenths of a percentage point from the previous month.

This past May (most recent county by county numbers), Rutherford County ranked at number 4 on the list for having the lowest unemployment rate in the state out of all 95 counties. Rutherford County has an unemployment rate of 3.1%. Williamson County came in at number one on the list with the lowest unemployment rate at 2.7%.
