Texas female who is a "fugitive from justice" was arrested in Murfreesboro

A fugitive from justice was arrested in Murfreesboro after her ex-sister-in-law turned her in, according to a Murfreesboro Police Arrest Report. Officers responded to Northfield Lodge Apartments to address a domestic related call. Once on the scene, the complainant advised that her ex-in-law had a warrant out of Texas.

Officers ran a quick warrant checks on 36-year old Shelyne L. Mitchell and just as promised, she indeed was wanted by the long arm of the law for a “Burglary of a Habitation” charge in Fort Worth, Texas. Dispatch confirmed with Forth Worth that they would extradite Mitchell and she was quickly taken into custody.

Two children who traveled with Mitchell from Texas to Murfreesboro, Tennessee were turned over to a friend. DCS was notified.
