Friday, March 29, 2013, marks the 40th anniversary of United States combat troops' withdrawal from Vietnam. WGNS takes this opportunity to say THANK YOU to those who gave so much for America.

There are many local veterans who served in Vietnam. Over the next few days, make it a point to let them know that you appreciate their service.
The 2004 Census Bureau statistics show that there 8.2-million American soldiers who served between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975. 2.59-million actually served in Vietnam. More than 58,000 US personnel died as a result of the Vietnam War.
