The Lighting of the Christmas Tree on the Murfreesboro Square

Mainstreet of Murfreesboro has officially chosen a Christmas tree for the downtown celebration scheduled for  Friday, December 7th at 6 in the evening. During the event you can enjoy live music, watch the lighting of the Christmas tree, take a free carriage ride around the square and meet Santa Claus.

Among the groups performing at this year’s Tree Lighting in the Square are:

Homer Pittard Cmpus School, Discovery School at Reeves Rogers, The Dance Theatre of Tennessee performing the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker ballet, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Choir and more!!!

FREE carriage rides every Friday night from 5:30 til 9:30  Sponsored by Main Street! Carriage rides til Dec. 21.
