The Search for a New R'ford Co. Schools Director

The Rutherford County School Board is still sifting through information provided to them from four human resource related search firms to help them find a new schools director. You may recall in 2003, local search firm Cavalry Consulting was used in the hiring of Harry Gill, Jr. to lead the schools. Gill is set to retire from his post at the end of the school year. Some of the HR search firms proposing packages to work with the school board this year include the Tennessee School Boards Association, for a fee of $5,000 to $8,500, the Murfreesboro-based Center for Organizational and Human Resource Effectiveness for a fee of $25,440, PROACT Search of Wilmette, Ill. for a fee of $30,000 and Ray and Associates from Cedar Rapids, Iowa for $25,500.
