Murfreesboro City Schools held their back to school blast this past Saturday. The event was at the Cannonsburgh Village.
This year over 18 community agencies combined with several emergency responder vehicles, the mobile library, mobile health unit and snack stands to celebrate the new school year.
Greg Lyles, Coordinator of Community Initiatives for Murfreesboro City Schools stated "Students and parents always have fun at the event. There are games, giveaways and food to enjoy."
This year Murfreesboro schools partnered with Read to Succeed to incorporate Literacy Day activities into the Blast.
