Three Teens Accused of Vandalizing Riverdale High School

Three teenagers were arrested and accused of vandalizing Riverdale High School early Sunday morning. Two of the three teens are accused of spray painting graffiti on several structures at the school. Officers say they caught one teen in his car and charged him with criminal conspiracy after giving his two friends a ride to Riverdale to commit vandalism.

When police spotted the other two teens on Riverdale grounds, they ran from officers. Police immediately caught one and the second teen ran across the street from Riverdale and dived into the Stones River. The swift water rescue team with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department was called to assist Murfreesboro Police in the search of the teen that dived into the water. Deputies were unable to locate the subject and contacted Verizon Wireless to trace the teen’s location by way of his cell phone. Soon after the cell phone was traced, police found the suspect at his mother’s home. The two suspects accused of actually spray painting graffiti at RHS now face vandalism charges and evading arrest charges.
