“Many may not have signed up because they think the process to enroll is too difficult,” Jeff Pitta, HealthTN.com owner, said. “The purpose of this bus tour is to show people how easy the sign-up process can be and to emphasize that the deadline to enroll is less than two weeks away.”

Between 700,000-800,000 Tennesseans lack adequate health coverage. After March 31, uninsured persons will pay a tax penalty for 2014.

“Depending on income and subsidies, many may be eligible for great coverage at little to no out-of-pocket expense,” Pitta said.

HealthTN will provide free ice cream and popcorn, puzzles and games, and chances to win cash prices at tour stops. Licensed agents will be on hand to help individuals through the sign-up process.

“We want these events to be fun and educational and for families to leave these events with peace of mind for their future, knowing they’ve chosen the right plan for them,” Pitta said.

Uninsured individuals can also visit HeatlhTN.com or call (615) 224-8905 to sign up for an affordable health plan.
