A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 and it left an 18 wheeler destroyed. The incident occurred at the Pilot Gas Station on South Church Street at I-24.

When Murfreesboro fire fighters arrived on the scene, the truck hauling an empty milk trailer was fully engulfed in flames. Two other tractor trailer trucks parked next to the one that caught fire were damaged in the blaze.

The fire was believed to have started due to a mechanical issue.
