Berry is a lifelong resident of Murfreesboro. He graduated from Oakland High School before continuing his education at Middle Tennessee State University where he obtained a degree in Electronic Media Communication Journalism from the College of Mass Communication and Honors College in 2012. Berry is an active member of the Salem Creek Church of Christ where he has participated on multiple mission trips to Jamaica and Nicaragua.
