A homeless Murfreesboro man originally from Ohio has been arrested for allegedly stealing a truck. The truck that 19-year old Jesse P. Caldwell was charged with stealing was valued at over $1,000. The culprit’s friend, by the name of Marcus Barrett, reportedly participated in the selling of the truck for $300, even though it was stolen. Barrett’s signature is on the bill of sale for the truck stating that it was his. His driver’s license number was also found on the bill of sale, according to the arrest report.

When police went to the North Spring Street home where the sale reportedly took place, Caldwell was said to have run inside the home and hide under the bed. Caldwell eventually came out and admitted to taking the vehicle.
