Popular morning radio host Truman Jones has spent the last several weeks recovering from a triple heart bypass. While he's recovering, several guest hosts have been keeping his chair ready for his return.

Tuesday, with Greg Tucker, he will return to the microphone for at least a day. We will actually broadcast the show live from his home. For those wanting to hear from Truman, you'll have the chance Tuesday morning at 9am.

Truman plans to return to the air as soon as he can and will likely ease back into hosting. We will find out more on Tuesday.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED

Popular morning radio host Truman Jones has been released from the hospital after undergoing a triple heart bypass.

The man who served Rutherford County as sheriff for almost three-decades along with being a deputy for many years prior to that, is recuperating after undergoing surgery at St. Thomas Heart. He is positive and upbeat, but claims that he is still feeling "just a little tired".

Truman looks at his radio audience as "close friends", and he concludes with a comment for listeners to the Truman Show . . .

On Monday, September 14th, Truman told his longtime friend Dan Rudd, MD, about how he was feeling. Dr. Rudd told him to immediately come to the hospital.

Jones explained, "They say I was in the early stages of having a heart attack, but were able to get it before damage was done."

Physicians were optimistic from the beginning about Truman's chance of full recovery, because of his lifelong habit of daily exercise.

In the near future, while he is improving, Truman wants to do do a radio show from his easy chair and share his experience, in an effort to help others identify heart problems. NewsRadio WGNS will keep you informed on the date of the broadcast.
