Tuesday shooting reported in Murfreesboro

Murfreesboro Police responded to 1259 Wenlon Drive in reference to a shots fired call on Tuesday afternoon. When officers arrived, witnesses helped officers locate the intended target of the shooting.

Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans told WGNS, "The target of the shooting has refused to provide even the most basic information and has responded to questions with profane remarks."Police say that the person who was the intended target was not injured and no property damage has been discovered.

Detectives are gathering evidence at this time.

Saint Rose Catholic School was placed on alert and has since returned to regular status.
