Two men were robbed at gunpoint in Murfreesboro near the Shell gas station on North Rutherford Boulevard. The robbery occurred around 10:30 Tuesday night.

The victims told police as they were walking through a wooded area that is a short cut to a nearby apartment complex, a black male armed with a gun approached them. The man was described as having dreadlock's and a ponytail.

The two men were robbed of their cellphones and wallets, although the two wallets did not contain any cash. After the robbery, the culprit fled on foot running towards the Shell gas station.

The case remains open at this time.
