27-Year old Trandrius D. Womack of Halls Hill Pike in Murfreesboro has been arrested on an attempted first degree murder charge. Womack was apprehended on Sunday morning after an alleged aggravated robbery and shooting at a Thorntons Gas Station.

Womack was developed as a prime suspect and later located at 305 Bridge Avenue. Apparently store video surveillance cameras helped lead police to Womack. When the suspect was questioned, he gave statements implicating himself in two robberies on Sunday.

One of the two robberies occurred at Nottingham Apartments on Greenland Drive. In that case, the suspect allegedly asked the victim, "Do you know what I look like" and "Did you see me?"

During the second robbery at Thornton's Gas Station on Old Fort Parkway, the suspect allegedly shot a 40-year old man in the leg. The incident occurred in front of the store and not inside the business. The victim was apparently at the store with his girlfriend. In that robbery, the victim had to be flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center after losing a large amount of blood.

Womack is currently being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center in Murfreesboro. In addition to the attempted murder charge, he was also charged with two counts of especially aggravated robbery, two counts of theft and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. His court date has been scheduled for November 25, 2014.
