Two suspects arrested in Saturday robbery in Murfreesboro

WGNS has a follow up to a robbery that was reported on Saturday (5/31/14) at the Murfreesboro Motel on Broad Street. The hold-up was reported at about 7:30, Saturday evening in room 125.

Victim Dennis Kuhn told police he and a female acquaintance were in the room when someone knocked on the door. The female guest opened the door and several subjects “burst into the room.” Once inside, one of the culprits reportedly hit 59-year old Kuhn, knocking him to the bed. Another subject quickly grabbed Kuhn’s pants that were laying on the bed. The subject reportedly rummaged through the pants pockets locating $120 in cash. The men then fled the scene on foot.

Within minutes, Murfreesboro Police located suspects 34-year old James Dailey, Jr. and 26-year old Christopher Ferguson. The men were apprehended on White Blvd. at Huddleston Drive. Dailey and Ferguson were charged with “Aggravated Burglary,” Robbery,” and “Assault.” The duo will appear before a Rutherford County General Sessions Judge on July 7, 2014.   

As of Monday afternoon, the subjects have not made bond and remain behind bars.
