$2,000 in damages was reported at the Wendy’s restaurant on Old Fort Parkway after a U-Haul truck ran into their sign. The truck, that was hauling a trailer, evidently hit the sign and then fled the scene. The manager of the store was able to obtain the license plate number on the truck and police easily tracked down the name of the person who rented the vehicle. Despite knowing the name of the subject who rented it, officers were unable to locate the culprit at their address on Crossway Avenue. It will now be up to the manager of the restaurant to press charges.
Blue Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, is happy to announce that a three-year extension has been added to the broadcast agreement with NewsRadio WGNS Radio. The affiliation between Blue Raider Athletics and WGNS dates back to 1947 and, for the biggest part of those 68 years, has been a broadcast outlet for Middle Tennessee. The new agreement will mean that Blue Raider Network programming will be heard on NewsRadio WGNS through at least 2018.
