On Thursday (7/27/2012) U.S. District Judge Kevin Sharpe ruled that construction crews have their completion date for the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro to be extended to August 15th. 

As you recall, another federal judge earlier said Islamic members have the right to worship in their new facility that's being constructed on Veal Lane and Bradyville Pike.  However, the 12,000 square foot structure did not pass the codes inspection. The water had not been connected as well as other unfinished final touches, thus the extension gives them a few more weeks. 

Members had hoped to be in the facility for Ramadan, which began July 20th. However, they may still have a chance to worship in the final days of the period which ends August 18th.
