UPDATE: 15-year old pedestrian struck by motorist in Smyrna Tuesday

We have more news on the pedestrian who was struck by a motorist in Smyrna on October 14, 2014. According to Smyrna Police Chief Kevin Arnold, the accident occurred just before 8:15 in the evening. The person who was struck was only 15-years of age.

"Our department was notified that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Hicks Lane and David Collins Drive. When officers arrived they found the victim, a 15 year old female, lying in the grass with obvious injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1994 Subaru Legacy driven by Beth Lynn Uhrine, 32 years of age from Smyrna, struck the pedestrian. The juvenile pedestrian was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital and the case is still under investigation."

No arrests have been made.
