On Thursday (December 19, 2013), the Rutherford County Fire Department and the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service, along with Mapco Stores will be donating 50 (fifty) bicycles to children who are less fortunate in Rutherford County. The families were chosen by several different community support groups. Little Caesars donated pizza to be served while children are waiting to see Santa. 

Families must present a voucher that was given to them by local organizations. This event will take place at Rutherford County Fire Department, 2785 Barfield Rd, Murfreesboro starting at 6:30 pm. 

Christmas toys will also be handed out to local children on Saturday (Dec. 21,2013),  8:00am at the Rutherford County Fire Department Station 1, (2785 Barfield Rd., Murfreesboro). 

The toys will be given away on Saturday on a first come first serve basis until all the toys are gone. The toys are for thoses aged two to ten. 

Parents must have proof of residency from Rutherford County. Santa and his helpers will be there to visit with the children.
