A child rape trial unfolded in the Rutherford County Circuit Court room of the Honorable Judge Taylor. 52-year old Angela Elizabeth Montgomery faced 20-counts of "Rape of a Child" charges, 6-counts of "Rape," 12-counts of incest and 2-counts of "Coercion of a Witness" charges. We have since learned that Montgomery was found guilty on six of those counts of "Rape of a Child."

The reported incidents that led to the charges were said to have taken place in year 2002 when the two juvenile victims lived with the suspect in Rutherford County on South Kings Highway in Murfreesboro. The two children were ages 21 and 15 when they came forward and filed the charges against Montgomery. At the time of the reported crime, the victims would have been 11 and 5-years of age and Montgomery was about 40. Today, the children are 23 and 17-years old. Their identity is not being released due to their age at the time of the incident.

WGNS was told that Montgomery did not actually face the current allegations until 2012 when she was arrested in Portland, Oregon and transported back to Murfreesboro where the charges were filed.

WGNS learned the investigation took Murfreesboro Detective Wayne Lawson about 8-months to uncover. Again, Montgomery was found guilty on six counts of child rape. She will be sentenced May 6, 2015.
