We have an update on the car that flipped over in a quiet neighborhood located in Rockvale. The car wrecked and overturned on Needham Boulevard causing about $2,000 in damages to a yard and mailbox at two different homes on the night of January 4th.

34-year old Ragina M. Brown evidently left the scene after the wreck occurred. The female was said to be intoxicated, according to witnesses. Brown evidently lives one street over from where the wreck occurred. Lisa Marchesoni, public information officer for the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, told WGNS that Brown suggested to deputies that her brother-in-law was driving her car at the time of the accident and not her. Deputies did not find that to be true and charged her with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

As all of this was taking place, a subject who lives in a group home located in the same neighborhood had to be transported to the hospital for unknown reasons. It was suggested by a resident in the neighborhood, that the person who was taken to the hospital was upset over all the commotion.

Brown will appear in General Sessions Court on April 28, 2014.
