UPDATE: Car Jacking in Rutherford County

A Colorado woman escaped unharmed after she reported two men carjacked the rental car she drove about 7 Tuesday night.

Victim Kathleen Noe, who is visiting relatives in Rutherford County, reported she was driving on Alsup Mill road when she saw a car, possibly a green Ford Taurus with the hood up, blocking the road, Deputy Brad Lynn reported.

The black man and white man approached and asked if she had any jumper cables or if they could use the battery. She popped the hood and opened her door.

“Ms. Noe stated they grabbed her and threw her into the ditch,” Lynn reported.

The white male told her he had a gun in his pocket and ordered her to do what he said. She managed to run away and hide in a tree line. One of the men left in the rental car. The car was later recovered in Wilson County.

Detective Bryant Gregory is investigating. People with information may call him at 904-3054.

What a shame! This is my sister who is visiting from Colorado. She came in to see our oldest brother, who is probably in his last days of cancer. On the very day she arrives, she is carjacked and all her personal belongings are gone! These people should be ashamed of themselves! God please forgive them for these evil acts!

This is indeed pathetic. My daughter & I both live close to this area are we are also from CO. I hope they catch these jerks, unfortunately us honest folks cannot trust many anymore. So sorry to the victim and hope all is well under the circumstances. We will keep the brother in our prayers.
