If a suspect is found guilty of "Aggravated Sexual Battery" in Tennessee, the subject could be sentenced for up to 30-years behind bars on each conviction. In this case, Mr. Campbell faces up to 90-years behind bars if convicted.

Cases of where a guilty plea is filed:

When a guilty plea is filed in a court of law, the plea puts an end to future legal hearings in the majority of cases. However, the benefits to the victim and the prosecutor in a guilty plea could be lost if an appeal is filed at a later date.

During a guilty plea hearing the defendant is placed under oath and the judge questions the defendant to make sure that he or she understands the charges and their legal rights.

After guilt is admitted before the judge, the court typically proceeds to the sentencing phase for the convict.
