UPDATE: Driver ejected in Memorial Blvd. Crash on Wednesday afternoon

One victim was LifeFlighted after being ejected from his vehicle at the corner of Glenis Drive and Memorial Boulevard in front of KFC restaurant just before 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department's District 6 and Rescue 8, Murfreesboro Police Department, and Rutherford County EMS arrived on scene to find a 75 year old male laying on the ground. He had apparently been ejected from his Chevy S10.

Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department told WGNS, "According to witnesses and preliminary information, while traveling on Heritage Park Drive, the 75 year old driver failed to yield to traffic at the intersection of Memorial Blvd. The man was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was alert and talking with investigating officers prior to being taken to Vanderbilt."

Ashley McDonald with Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue stated, "The victim was packaged for transport via ambulance to Murfreesboro Municipal Airport where LifeFlight was waiting to take him to Vanderbilt Medical Center."

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
