We now know the name of the victim in a weekend motorcycle crash on East Clark Boulevard. He's identified by Murfreesboro Police reports as 45-year old Jim Dixon of Old Lascassas Pike.
Dixon was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing his 2002 black Suzuki Intruder motorcycle Sunday morning around 2:40.
Sergeant Kyle Evans told NewsRadio WGNS that as the motorcycle entered a curve, it failed to maintain it's lane and struck the outside curb. It then left the roadway where the male driver was ejected. It appears that during the course of the crash, the driver struck a utility pole next to the driveway of 911 E. Clark Boulevard.
The M-P-D's Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating.

Early Sunday (10/23/2016) morning, around 2:40AM, Murfreesboro police officers were dispatched to an injury crash in the area of 911 E. Clark Boulevard.
This crash involved a 2002 black Suzuki Intruder motorcycle that was traveling West on E. Clark Blvd, near Maymont Boulevard.

The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital where he is being treated at this time.
The Fatal Accident Crash Team is investigating the crash.
