For those who do not take advantage of the Oct. 15 - 30, 2014 EARLY VOTING opportunities, the election date is set for Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014. Each precinct is open 7AM-7PM on that day. And then, WGNS broadcasts the results "live" from the Election Commission starting at 7:15PM that evening.
You will vote for Tennessee governor, US Senate, 4th District U.S. House of Representatives, 13th District State Senate, State House of Representatives for the 34th, 37th, 48th and 49th districts.
Also voting for Eagleville's mayor and 3 council members, La Vergne's mayor and 2 aldermen, Smyrna's mayor and 3 council members.

Sat. (Sept. 27, 2014) 7:30PM shotgun start for "Saturday Night Lights: Gridiron and Golf" at the Stones River Country Club. This benefits the Discovery Center. 4-person teams of scramble type golf with night golf and glowing balls, tees and greens. A cocktail hour featuring a complimentary martini bar will be held earlier in the evening, followed by a dinner buffet and dessert. Guests will enjoy football games broadcast inside and outside as well as a cash bar. Sponsorships range from $1,000 to $2,500 and team registrations are $500. Even though the runners were increased to 3,250, the race was full within hours (registration on June 7, 2014). Youth can participate as "walk ins" to the Kid's Fun Run along with fun activities during the event the centers around MTSU's Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium (1568 Greenland Dr.).
