WGNS News now has more information about a fatal accident that occurred in Murfreesboro on Sunday night around 8:00 (January 03, 2016). The crash occurred on S. Rutherford Blvd. to the West of SE Broad St.

The Murfreesboro Police Department reports the accident involved a single vehicle that left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver was identified as Ms. Kalya Bryanton, age 20. The driver was treated on the scene by Rutherford County Emergency Management Services and transported to Vanderbilt Hospital by Lifeflight Helicopter. Shortly after her arrival, Ms. Bryanton was pronounced deceased.

The Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is investigating the crash.
