WGNS now has more information on that bicycle versus car accident that occurred on Tuesday night that left one MTSU student deceased.

The Murfreesboro Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) is investigating the crash that occurred near 1307 N. Rutherford Blvd. around 8:20 p.m.

After a preliminary investigation, FACT investigators believe Timothy Martin (age 20 of Mt. Juliet, TN) was attempting to walk his bicycle across Rutherford Blvd. when he was struck by a car. A vehicle driven by Benjamin Conley (age 22 of Murfreesboro, TN) was traveling South on N. Rutherford Blvd. when the pedestrian walked into the path of his vehicle.

The pedestrian, Timothy Martin was transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center by Rutherford County EMS where he was pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation at this time, however charges against the driver are not anticipated at this point.
