More on that Saturday afternoon head-on crash. As reported earlier on WGNS, the call came in to 911 shortly before 3:00 o'clock.

Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson Dalya Qualls told WGNS news that a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by 15-year old juvenile of Lascassas was traveling west on Lascassas Pike. A 2001 Ford F-150 pickup driven by 21-year old Wilkes Barrett of Murfreesboro was traveling in the opposite direction. Both drivers say that they were in their own lane at the time of the crash.

The teen who was driving the Jeep was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in a private vehicle. 42-year old Shannon Harradon of Lascassas was a passenger in the vehicle, but was not injured. In fact, the teen was the only one injured, and all three persons were wearing safety restraints.

The crash occurred on Lascassas Pike between Craddock Lane and Givens Road.  In addition to the highway patrol, the Lascassas Volunteer Fire Department and Walter Hill Rescue were called to assist.
