We have more information on the bomb threat that was phoned into the Rutherford County Juvenile Detention Center on Tuesday. Deputy D. Creech told Murfreesboro Police that the call came into the Juvenile Court Clerks Office from a blocked number. A Deputy Clerk in the office answered the call and described the voice on the other end of the line as possibly a white male between the age of 40 and 50.

The caller stated, “There is a bomb in your building, I watched them bring it in.” The clerk asked the caller where the bomb was located and the culprit stated, “it’s near the front.” When asked what the bomb was made of, the caller hung up.

Authorities spent several hours searching for an explosive device, but turned up empty handed. Shortly after 11 on Tuesday, the building was given the “all clear.”
