A Murfreesboro couple called the police on Wednesday night at 11 when their home was broken into. The break-in was labeled as a home invasion because the residents were home asleep when the two male subjects kicked the back door open. The invasion occured in the 400 block of Knox Street off Poplar Avenue near the Mitchell Neilson Schools.

One of the culprits was described as a 6-foot tall white male wearing brown coveralls and a red cap. The second man was described as an unknown race because his face and head were covered with a ski-mask. One of the culprits was armed with a silver handgun.
