UPDATE: Location Released of Home Invasion Reported on Wednesday Night in Murfreesboro

A Murfreesboro couple called the police on Wednesday night at 11 when their home was broken into. The break-in was labeled as a home invasion because the residents were home asleep when the two male subjects kicked the back door open. The invasion occured in the 400 block of Knox Street off Poplar Avenue near the Mitchell Neilson Schools.

One of the culprits was described as a 6-foot tall white male wearing brown coveralls and a red cap. The second man was described as an unknown race because his face and head were covered with a ski-mask. One of the culprits was armed with a silver handgun.

The victims told police the subjects went through the house demanding money and drugs. The resident’s did not have any drugs to give the thugs, but were able to muster up $110 in cash.

Detectives have been assigned to the case. Once an arrest is made, aggravated robbery charges will likely be filed.
