UPDATE: MT Football Players Arrested; Woman Allegedly Assaulted

More information has come to light after the arrest and subsequent suspension of three MTSU football players. According to an MTSU Police report, football player J.D. Jones is accused of choking a young woman until she gave him money to buy marijuana. The report goes on to say while the alleged assault occurred, teammates videoed the incident. There are several reports filed with police between October 2012 and May of this year.

Jones, a defensive tackle for the Blue Raiders, is charged with two counts of domestic aggravated assault. Fellow defensive tackle Marcus Robinson and cornerback Rodney O'Neal are both facing two counts of aiding and abetting. The men, all 20-years old, were arrested over the weekend and suspended from the football team. Jones, Robinson and O'Neal will all be in court on August 29th.
