UPDATE: Murder Fugitive Caught on S. Church St.

A fugitive wanted for a shooting a man 15 times in Georgia was apprehended by Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies and the U.S. Marshals at a Murfreesboro motel, said Sheriff Robert Arnold.

Suspect Farraknad Mohammed Price, 18, of Atlanta, was wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm and possession of a felony with a firearm, said Rutherford County Detective Chuck Thomas, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshals Task Force.

Price was accused of shooting victim Orentheal Childs 15 times Feb. 15 in Atlanta, the arrest warrant stated.

Thomas said Price was a member of the Folk Nation gang.

The marshals received information Price was staying at Knight’s Inn on South Church Street. A team of marshals and deputies apprehended him from the motel and brought him to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where he is being held for Atlanta Police.

Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Anderson charged Price with being a fugitive from justice.

According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in Georgia, Price was released from jail this past October after being arrested on theft charges. Prior to that, he was apprehended in March of last year for trespassing.
