On Thursday in the Tina Stewart murder case, jurors heard testimony from Charnera Macklin, who was on the phone with Stewart minutes before her murder. Macklin was one of the last persons to have talked to Stewart before she was allegedly stabbed to death by Shanterrica Madden last year. Prior to the argument, Stewart reportedly complained to apartment management about Madden smoking marijuana in the apartment. Jurors also heard testimony from the apartment manager of Raiders Crossing. Madden and Stewart were placed into the same apartment by apartment management and not by choice. The two did not know each other prior to moving in together.
Madden claims she killed Stewart during an act of self defense. Madden is facing first degree murder charges. The trial continues today.
