We have more news on a Bedford County murder that was reported on Monday. The Shelbyville Times Gazette reports that the victim was from Murfreesboro.

Police say that 86-year old Lois Jean Espy was found in the nude along Mullins Mill Road. Espy lived in Murfreesboro and it is not known who killed her or how her body ended up in Bedford County at this time.

The Times reports, "A TBI forensics team is searching her residence for possible evidence, officials said. An online telephone directory indicates Espy, whose maiden name was Parker, lived on Battleground Drive in Murfreesboro."

"It's a death investigation at this time," a Bedford County detective said Thursday when asked if investigators have a suspect.
