UPDATE On Smyrna Murder Case

We have more news from Smyrna about a man who was shot and killed outside of a home early Thursday morning around 7 (on 8/7/14). The incident occurred on Kings Road (in 100 block). Several residents were at the house when the shooting happened, but no one else was injured.

Killed was 46-year old Danny Wright. Police say he was shot multiple times. Smyrna Police are working several leads at this time, but no arrests have been made.

The suspect who shot Wright was described as a tall, slender black male wearing dark colored clothing and driving a late model tan or white sedan.

At approximately 7:00 am this morning, Smyrna Police Department received a report of a shooting that occurred at 109 Kings Rd in Smyrna. When officers arrived they found the victim, Danny Wright, age 46, shot multiple times. Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Vanderbilt Hospital. Investigators were advised that the victim had died from his injuries while at the hospital.

The suspect in the incident is described as a black male, wearing dark clothes, and was also described as being tall/ skinny. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in a late model tan or white sedan.
