WGNS has more news on a rape that was reported this past week at Barfield Commons in the area of Veterans Parkway and 231 South. The alleged attack took place at 3 in the morning on September 8, 2014. The incident was then reported by the victim on September the 11th.

We spoke to Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans on Monday to see if an arrest has been made and he told us that police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the report.

According to the victim, the "unknown subject" who raped her moved in for the attack by the community dumpster. For those who are not familiar with the area, the dumpster is located at the end of a row of condominium's and there is not a light directly over the trash bin. At 3 in the morning, the area tends to be quite dark.

The case remains under investigation.
