We have an update on the 40-year old man charged with the rape of a child who worked for the Rutherford County School System… William C. Henry (pictured) worked as a plumber for the county schools when he was accused of raping a five year old boy. Henry is expected to file a plea in Circuit Court on May 28, 2013. 

He will be represented at the taxpayers’ expense through a public defender. 

In January police say the five year old victim told a Child Protective Services worker that he had been molested by Henry. A day later, officers made contact with Henry who told police he was friends with the child’s mother.

According to a police report dated January 11th, Henry stated that he took advantage of the boy and that the child would sleep with him. Henry admitted to raping the child when questioned by Detective Tommy Roberts.

Henry is being held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center under a $100,000 bond. He face three charges of “the rape of a child” and three charges for “aggravated sexual battery.”

Police say there was some confusion of the identity of Henry. That is cleared up here (link).

The arrest report outlines detailed allegations stating, “Mr. Henry stated that he took advantage of the boy and performed oral sex on him several times.” Detectives also reported, “Mr. Henry also admitted to anal intercourse with the five year old victim.”
