An investigation into a motorcycle verses bicyclist accident continues in the Barfield area. The collision occurred on September 3rd shortly after 4:00 in the afternoon.

21-Year old David Post, who was operating his motorcycle with a suspended license, evidently collided with a 14-year old on a bicycle. The Highway Patrol report shows that the teen was riding the bike in the center of the road when the motorcyclist struck the rear tire of the bike. After the collision both the teen on the bike and the motorcycle came to rest next to a mailbox at 4788 Barfield Crescent Road.

The child was flown by LifeFlight Helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Post was transported by ambulance to St. Thomas Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

So far, no charges have been filed in the accident.
