We have an update on the fatal accident that claimed the life of a Smyrna man last week in Davidson County. 49-Year old Charles Wenman Towns was identified by Metro Police as the man who struck pedestrian Calvin Thomas as he was walking across Old Hickory Boulevard. Thomas died on the scene. 

Towns, who refused to answer questions by police, was convicted last year with DUI. He now faces leaving the scene of an accident involving a death, which is a felony in Tennessee.
