UPDATE: Woman accused of striking teen with car to head to court in Murfreesboro

A woman accused of striking a pedestrian in Smyrna on October 14, 2014 will file a plea in upcoming days. According to Smyrna Police Chief Kevin Arnold, the person who was struck was only 15-years of age.

"When officers arrived they found the victim, a 15 year old female, lying in the grass with obvious injuries. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 1994 Subaru Legacy driven by Beth Lynn Uhrine, 32 years of age from Smyrna, struck the pedestrian. The juvenile pedestrian was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital."

Shortly after the accident, suspect Beth Uhrine was charged with Vehicular Assault, DUI, filing a false report, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid.

WGNS has confirmed that Uhrine will file a plea in the courtroom of Judge David Bragg on August 27, 2015.
