UPDATE: Thursday morning Walter Hill accident on Jefferson Pike

On Thursday morning, NewsRadio WGNS received multiple calls about an accident in the Walter Hill area. The crash occurred on Jefferson Pike. Evidently, 38-year old Jennifer Zaughan of Murfreesboro slammed into a Honda CRV that turned into her path of travel. The Highway Patrol reports that 46-year old Patrick Stoecker turned into Zaughan's GMC Yukon.

While Zaughan was not injured, Stoecker had to be transported to Saint Thomas Medical Center in Murfreesboro. His 17-year old daughter was also hospitalized as a result of the accident.

Reports show that 30-year old Matthew Higgindotham of Smyrna was driving a Dodge Neon when he was struck by the Honda CRV being driven by Stoecker. The CRV hit Higgindotham's car when the CRV overturned. Luckily, Higgindotham was not injured.

There were no life threatning injuries in the reported accident.

Stoecker is a former longtime basketball coach at Siegel Middle School and the husband of the school's principal, Kim Stoecker.
