We have an update on the story WGNS first brought you on the hiring of a new athletic director with Rutherford County Schools. The list of 32 applicants was recently whittled down to six. However, schools spokesman James Evans says only three finalists actually interviewed for the position. They were Eric Bloom, Jeremy Lewis and Tim Tackett. One finalist, Rob Gaines, didn't show for his scheduled interview while finalists Melissa Bunch and Rhonda Wilkinson declined to interview.
