But there is more to the bill... In order for wine sales to be approved in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, local residents will have to vote it in. Before that happens, 10% of the voting residents will have to sign off on a referendum. The election commission will then have to filter out those names to make sure they are all registered to vote. The soonest it could appear on the ballot is November of this year.   That being said, wine could be sold in grocery stores, big box retailer type stores and convenient stores that are over 1500 square feet in size by 2015.
