We have more news on a fatal accident that occurred on I-24 in Rutherford County early Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 5:00 at mile marker 92, which is about a four miles before the Beechgrove Exit.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed that 23-year old William Myers from Hillsboro, Tennessee died in the crash. Myers apparently lost control of his Nissan Sentra while heading towards Manchester on I-24 and ran under a tractor trailer truck. Myers, who is a Coffee County resident, died at the scene. No charges are being filed againes the driver of the big rig who was from out of state. He was not injured.
